My Photo-Taking Experience

For this task I used the canon Eos 400D. I was able to use it more effectively because it was the second time I used it. The first time I used it I wasn't very good at it because of the angel I made it, instead of the orientation to be portrait I made it landscape which made it difficult for me when I edited it on Photoshop. Nevertheless I was able to gain key skills and learn new things about ways to angel the camera and where I placed focus on (e.g. the person’s eye). So in the end of my first experience I was able to control the orientation of the photos so that it would be easier for me to edit on Photoshop, and so that any unwanted background was removed. I also considered how the photos will turn out as well as focusing on the way in which I take pictures. My pictures were enhanced and improved by the Geminal Espit Gm500 flash with a 60cm soft box, which is a flash device that detects the time you take a photo, with a radio trigger and captures to make a more effective photo, to rid wrinkles and enhance beauty. It also made my photos look better with quality by erasing dark patches from my models and brightening the picture.

I was able to use the trigger set up from the camera to the soft box, and I was also aware of the hazards of working with them too, I had to remember the soft box and its electricity capacity, that could cause an electrical shock if not totally careful with the devices. As told above, the effect of the soft box is to create a softly illuminated look and to rid the subject of unwanted shadows. It also gave my photos a natural look which is what I need to create an effective magazine front cover.
